Skip Bayless Explains Tom Brady’s Release as Former Bucs QB Facing Criticism

Former Tampa Bay Buccaneers Super Bowl-winning quarterback Tom Brady, widely regarded as the greatest NFL player of all time, is entering his second year of retirement from the league. He is building the second act of his career both in the broadcast booth and in the investment world.

As an announcer, Brady didn’t get into the broadcast booth as much as he got on the field on game days. His knowledge of football is absolutely indisputable. His delivery is what fans have been waiting for more of.

Brady acknowledges this, but it’s a $375 million investment from FOX because he’ll continue to work on his craft to stay close to the field when he’s not playing.

Skip Bayless “Skip the Bayless Showdown” to make his feelings for Brady known as a broadcaster.

“Okay, good news. Sunday’s Cowboys game is on CBS, not Fox,” Bayless said. “So we’re getting Tony Romo instead of Tom Brady. As I’ve said 12 trillion times, Tom Brady was the best NFL player ever. But as a TV analyst, he’s just Daniel Jones. I’m sorry, but Tom Brady played yesterday at Detroit-Green He drove me crazy at the Bay game with his endless, dizzying, captainly chatter.”

Bayless is known for being quite rigid in his views and making some extreme comparisons to express his point. Comparing Brady to Daniel Jones in the broadcast booth is just that — extreme — even though the legendary signal-caller has far fewer reps on the broadcast than Jones does on the field.

“Just talking and talking and talking some more about what happened in a cliche way Bayless continued: “It’s so frustratingly obvious, it’s also very obvious that Patriots-Brady is talking to the media. He’s so eager to be the good guy that Tom is clearly visible. Too little insight, too many words. Too many close-ups.”‘Hi, I’m Tom Brady’. Yes, we know, unfortunately we do, Tom.”
