Dry Weather Returns Today Into Friday.

Tuesday’s rainfall across the Twin Cities averaged around 0.25 to 0.40″; While this wasn’t enough to make for a pleasant day out, it really helped the soil recharge from the dry September and October conditions. The next round of widespread precipitation will reach the Twin Cities and surrounding areas Saturday evening through Sunday morning.

Patchy Dense Fog in the Twin Cities this morning, especially areas from Minneapolis west to the South Dakota border. HIGH FOG ADVISORY until 10 a.m. for the Twin Cities counties of Anoka, Hennepin, Carver and Scott counties and all counties west to the South Dakota border. The rest of the day brings a Mix of Clouds and Sunshine today with high temperatures near 50 degrees and West Winds at 5 to 10 mph. Tonight Partly Cloudy with Partly Fog and light winds in the mid 30s.

Thursday will start with some Scattered Fog, otherwise Mostly Sunny, with highs in the low 50s and West Winds 5 to 15 mph. Clear Skies Thursday night, Southwest Winds at 5 to 10 mph with lows in the upper 30s by Friday morning.

Sunny Skies on Friday will be beautiful with highs in the mid 50s with South Winds at 5 to 10 mph, then Partly Cloudy Friday night with lows near 40 degrees Saturday morning.

Saturday will start out Sunny, then Increasingly Cloudy in the afternoon, with Breezy Conditions and Rain developing after 6pm Expect highs in the mid 50s on Saturday and lows near 40 degrees and possibly Rain on Sunday morning.

Rain is expected Sunday morning and will end in the afternoon with Clearing Skies and high temperatures in the low 50s.

Monday (Veterans Day, Nov. 11) Partly Cloudy and Windy, with highs in the lower 50s. Looking further afield, the next Widespread Rain appears on Wednesday, November 13th. JONATHAN YUHAS
