Marti Cifuentes: QPR boss ‘100% confident’ he can turn around the Championship club’s difficult season

Goals from Riley McGree, Tommy Conway and substitutes Emmanuel Latte Lath and Boro substitute Dan Barlaser sent QPR to their fourth home league defeat of the season.

The Hoops had drawn each of their previous three matches, including 0-0 draws against promotion-chasing Burnley and Sunderland, but this latest defeat was followed by loud boos at Loftus Road when the full-time whistle blew.

“I hope they see a team trying to do their best,” Cifuentes said.

“Unfortunately it hasn’t been enough so far, so I think it’s fair that they’re not happy right now.

“No one is happy. I am not a happy coach and the players are not happy with the results we are getting at the moment.

“But the only solution is to stay together, because I think that was the main key to the success we had last season in a very difficult situation.

“And this season it will probably be the same as we need everyone, so hopefully we can start to get the results we want and get the points we need.”
