JT Moore apologizes after DUI arrest in city car

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBRC) – Birmingham City Councilor JT Moore returned to council on Tuesday for the first time since then. His arrest for drunk driving in Mobile County.

Moore was arrested early Sunday morning after Creola Police Chief Shane Stringer said an officer found him unconscious in a City of Birmingham vehicle on I-65 North.

Chief Stringer said Moore admitted to drinking and was arrested and taken to the Mobile Metro Jail.

Moore addressed the DUI charge at the end of his county update on Tuesday, but we still don’t have an answer as to what he was doing in south Alabama and why he was in a city vehicle.

The city attorney’s office is said to be reviewing the incident, but has no additional comment at this time.
