‘The smallest piece:’ Detectives seek clues in years-long disappearance of Orlando man

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – Nearly three years after her disappearance, Orange County deputies are still searching for clues in her disappearance. 25-year-old Bryan “Vladek” Hasel.

According to deputies, Hasel’s father last saw her on Nov. 5, 2021, at his home in the area of ​​Alafaya Road and MacKay Boulevard.

Hasel’s family later stated in a statement that Hasel was seen on video and body camera footage at Foxtail Coffee Co. on University Boulevard in Orlando on November 6, 2021.

In addition, the sheriff’s office said Hasel (then 22 years old) was reportedly seen at The Place at Alafaya Apartments just nine days later. He has not been heard from or seen since, deputies said.

In the family’s statement, Hasel was in St. Petersburg before he disappeared. It is stated that he spent hours reading the Bible in the prayer garden of St. Joseph Catholic Church.

“I believe someone out there knows what happened to him,” said Hasel’s sister and attorney, Bethany Hasel. he said last year. “There are so many people who probably interacted with him but didn’t realize that he was a missing person and that the information they had could be key to his case. “It’ll just be enough to reach out to them to actually find him and make sure he’s okay.”

Earlier this year in January, Bethany Hasel distributed 300 flyers at the Orange County Convention Center in search of new clues about his brother’s disappearance.

At the time, Bethany Hasel said she believed her brother might no longer be in Central Florida because he had friends in the Dallas area from his time serving in the U.S. Marine Corps. Bryan described Hasel as an outgoing and friendly person who was always eager to strike up conversations with strangers.

on tuesdayThe sheriff’s office once again issued a statement urging “anyone with even the slightest shred of information” about his whereabouts to come forward with possible leads.

“No tip is too small,” the description reads. “#PleaseShare and help us find #Vladek.”

The sheriff’s office also announced that the family will hold a candlelight vigil to raise awareness of her disappearance on the UCF campus on Nov. 16 at 6 p.m.
