Philadelphia 76ers’ Joel Embiid was suspended for 3 games for arguing with a reporter

NBA suspended Philadelphia 76ers star Joel Embiid He was suspended for three matches after pushing a member of the media on Saturday.

Embiid got into an argument with a reporter after he wrote a column questioning Embiid’s professionalism and lack of fitness after playing in the Paris Olympics. The reporter mentioned in the original version of the article that both his father and son had passed away.

The 2-meter center has not played this season due to a knee injury and will be suspended once he is deemed fit and able to play.

Embiid is a seven-time all-star, two-time top scorer and league MVP in 2022-23.

Embiid, who was selected third overall by the 76ers in 2014, averaged 27.9 points, 11.2 rebounds and 3.6 assists throughout his 433-game career.
