Teen seriously injured in rollover crash early Tuesday in Northwest Kansas

REXFORD, Kan. (WIBW) – A teenager was seriously injured in a single-vehicle crash in northwestern Kansas’ Thomas County early Tuesday, authorities said.

The crash was reported at 6:02 a.m. Tuesday on US-83, about 6 miles north of US-24. The location was approximately one mile southwest of Rexford.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, a 2005 GMC Yukon sport utility vehicle was traveling southwest on US-83 when it left the roadway and entered the north ditch.

The vehicle then hit a field road and flew through the air for a short time before landing on the driver’s side and overturning. The vehicle then came to rest on its wheels in the north ditch.

The driver, Antonio Brice Kuhlman, 18, of Oberlin, was transported to Colby Citizen Medical Center with serious injuries. Kuhlman, who was alone in the vehicle, was not wearing his seat belt, the patrol said.
