ATLANTA – Police are investigating a stabbing that occurred Sunday near the King Memorial MARTA Station.

According to the Atlanta Police Department, officers were called to the 300 block of Decatur Street SE near Hillard Street SE just after 8:15 p.m. Officers said they found a 44-year-old man with injuries.

The man was taken to a local hospital by paramedics and is in stable condition.

Investigators said a verbal disagreement led to the knife being drawn and used.

The suspect and victim in this case were not named.

It is not known whether the police made any arrests regarding the incident.

The case is still under investigation.
