When is Election Day 2024?

Election Day is Tuesday, November 5, 2024. This will be the last day to vote in the 2024 general election. Washoe County polling places will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Election Day. However, you do not need to submit your ballot until 19:00. If you are in line by 7pm on election day, you can still cast your vote no matter how long it takes to get to the voting booth.

Why are news organizations reporting early election results as if everyone will vote according to their own party?
