Fans Are More Excited Than Tom Aspinall For My Fight With Jon Jones

Stipe Miocic (20-4-0) challenges for the UFC heavyweight title against current champion Jon Jones (27-1-0 1NC) in the main event of UFC 309 on November 15.

Miocic hasn’t fought in the UFC since March 2021, when he lost the heavyweight title to Francis Ngannou by knockout. British phenom Tom Aspinall has since gone 5-1 in promotion and retained the interim title.

Therefore, fans believe that Aspinall has a stronger claim in Jones’ fight, but Miocic thinks otherwise and says: MMA Fighting “A lot more people want to see the (Miocic-Jones) fight than that (Jones fight Aspinall).”

Miocic and Jones are rumored to retire after the Madison Square Garden final.
