Calgary EMS says one person died in the crash east of the airport.

Emergency crews were called to westbound Airport Trail (96 Avenue) NE and 68 Street (Cornerstone Drive) NE at 11 a.m. Monday for a two-vehicle crash.

Emergency services reported that one adult died in the crash. No other injuries were reported.

The crash caused several road closures and motorists were encouraged to avoid the area and use alternative routes.
