RCSD: Man arrested for attempted murder

RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO) – Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott said a man has been arrested for an attempted murder incident that occurred on November 1st.

Deputies responded to the 1200 block of Metze Road to reports of a shooting that occurred just after 11 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 1.

Richland County deputies were alerted to a possible suspect, later identified as 40-year-old Marshaun Robinson, who left the scene in a vehicle.

Robinson was taken into custody by RCSD deputies. While deputies were questioning Robinson, they were informed that there was a possible victim inside a building.

The victim was located and taken to a local hospital. Investigators determined that Robinson and the victim were partners.

RCSD said it was determined that during a brief conversation between the two, Robinson fired multiple shots at the victim, who then fired back in self-defense.

Robinson was also taken to a local hospital for his injuries. He was later taken to the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center.

Robinson is charged with attempted murder, possession of a weapon during a violent crime and being a felon in possession of a weapon.
