1 person died and 1 person is missing after the second boat capsized off the coast of Sonoma County.

Two men were on the boat that capsized near Mussel Point.

One boater is dead and another is missing after their boat capsized off Bodega Head Monday morning, authorities said. Another boat sank on Saturday.

A person saw the 20-foot boat sink near Mussel Point and called 911 just after 7 a.m., according to Darrell Kotriva, on-call supervisor for Redcom, the county’s fire and medical dispatch service.

The Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office and Sonoma County Fire District responded to assist in the search for the two men.

One of them was found dead, Kotriva said.

As of 08:30, authorities were still searching for the missing boater.

This is the second boat to capsize off the coast of Sonoma County in two days.

A. 21-meter Bayliner carrying six people capsized throughout the weekend. Authorities searched Saturday night and most of Sunday and found the bodies of an 11-year-old boy and a teenager alive.

4 people in the building, 3 adults and 1 child, are still missing. U.S. Coast Guard officials suspended the search Sunday evening.
