Italian experts analyze Roma’s crisis and identify three players, backed up by Beppe Bergomi, Ivan Juric, who will be “in the starting five” under José Mourinho.

Juric is on the brink and the Italian media have already identified several possible candidates to replace the Croatian tactician. Including Massimiliano Allegri and Frank Lampard.

“De Rossi wanted explosive players, but instead they signed different players,” Bergomi said. The former Inter defender told Sky Sport:

“After all, Roma have a lack of players in committed positions, while others have too many left-footed forwards like Dybala, Soulé and Baldanzi. I don’t know if (Juric) is right or wrong, but I think he has a hard time putting the team he wants on the field.”

Former Juventus and Bologna midfielder Giancarlo Marocchi added: “This doesn’t work. Roma’s squad also includes World Cup winners. A player with a history like Hummels needs to be in the starting 11. If you have Paredes, he should be in the top five; The same goes for Cristante, the European champion (with Italy).”

Hummels has made just one appearance for Roma since joining the club on a free transfer in August. Paredes has made six appearances in all competitions this season, while Cristante has been on the bench in the last two matches against Torino and Hellas Verona.

“They will definitely be in the starting 11 with Mourinho,” Bergomi said.

Roma’s next competitive match is against Union Saint-Gilloise in the Europa League next Thursday. The Giallorossi will host Bologna in their next Serie A match at the Stadio Olimpico on Sunday, November 10.
