Diddy makes shock attempt to silence grand jury witness who made explosive claims about rappers’ ‘wild’ parties

Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ lawyers have made a shocking attempt to silence a grand jury witness who made bombshell claims about the rapper’s so-called ‘freak’ parties.

Lawyers Marc Agnifilo and Teny Geragos have submitted a letter to the federal judge overseeing the hip-hop mogul’s sex trafficking and racketeering case, asking him to expedite their motion to impose a gag order on witnesses, citing “a barrage of inappropriate pre-trial publicity.” ABC News reports.

It states that the statements made by some individuals ‘impaired Mr. Combs’ right to a fair trial and the integrity of the grand jury proceedings.’

Lawyers specifically attacked Combs’ former friend, Courtney Burgess; He has claimed in many interviews that he has seen videos of major celebrities being ‘victimized’ at Diddy’s infamous ‘freak’ parties.

“These stories spread rapidly in the media and created the impression that such videos existed, which was false and that the government was relying on sensational claims, which was extremely prejudicial,” the lawyers say.

Lawyers representing Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs wrote a letter to the federal judge presiding over the case on Sunday, asking him to expedite their motion to impose a gag order on witnesses.

They claim that by failing to treat Burgess’ allegations as an ‘extortion scam’, the government fueled online conspiracy theories that made it impossible for Diddy to get a fair trial.

The lawyers also note that the government has been investigating Diddy for almost a year and should know that the alleged freaks never involved men, minors or parties. According to TMZ.

Still, Burgess testified that she watched videos of at least two male stars who were “underage” at the time being “victimized” at parties.

He said the videos were on a flash drive kept by Diddy’s ex-girlfriend Kim Porter.

Lawyers hit out particularly hard at Courtney Burgess, who claimed in multiple interviews that she had seen videos of celebrities being 'victimised' at Diddy's infamous 'freak' parties.

Burgess later said NewsNation’s Banfield so Thursday night ‘All’ of the stars featured in the videos appeared to be on drugs or under the influence alcohol.

He did not name any of the celebrities said to appear in the videos.

Burgess claims that the videos were captured by cameras in Diddy’s homes, which were not always visible to those in the room.

He claims the flash drive containing the videos was given to him by a friend who received them from Porter.

It is not yet known whether Burgess has the tapes or whether he has turned them over to authorities.

Burgess says he has been friends with the rapper for 35 years and once loved him like a brother.

He now sees him as the devil.

‘I think he was ambitious back then. Then the ambitious (he) went to do everything. Burgess told Banfield: And then he cared no one to do anything; who you can beat.

‘And then he turned into Lucifer. And today I look at him – I know you all call him Diddy or Puffy – I call him Lucifer.’

The rapper is currently in jail awaiting trial on sex trafficking and racketeering charges. He denies all the allegations, insisting he was unfairly targeted.

His legal troubles erupted last year when a video emerged showing him kicking his ex-girlfriend, singer Cassie, at a Los Angeles hotel.

Since then, dozens of men and women have come forward with damning allegations.

He was arrested by federal prosecutors earlier this year and has been held in a Brooklyn jail ever since.
