Here on the first day of Pacific Standard Time, summer feels so far away. However, local artists are invited to carry the summer season in their hearts and produce creations that will participate in the competition. West Seattle Garden Tour‘s annual art competition – one week left until Sunday, November 10th, the application deadline:

We welcome your applications for our 2025 event and look forward to seeing your art!

Each year, the West Seattle Garden Tour, a 501(c)(3) organization, searches for other nonprofit organizations with goals aligned with our mission of promoting horticultural, educational and artistic endeavors in West Seattle and neighboring communities. Your applications and winning artworks, along with the generous support of our sponsors, allow the West Seattle Garden Tour to fund projects that align with our mission in our community. Our 2024 tour raised and distributed $57,700 for 11 local nonprofits.

Submissions should reflect the following narrative, focusing on the use of color, composition, texture and contrast to create interest in the tour.

Gardens are personal expressions that reflect the passion and creativity of their gardeners. They can be places of refuge and rest, or active environments that invite interaction. The gardens featured on our tour display these qualities, as well as an artistic blend of design, rich color palettes, texture, contrast, creative and inspiring use of plants, art and hardscaping.
