Northstate autocross club increases funding for Park Fire survivors

After several weekend delays, Trinity Touring Club held its 40th annual Fall Enduro at the Redding Go-Kart track the weekend of November 2nd and 3rd.

Leadership of the nonprofit autocross group shared that they had to postpone their annual event because their usual venue, the Shasta County Fairgrounds pit area in Anderson, was still being used by fire crews during nearby wildfires.

After receiving permission to use the track at Redding Motorsport Park, 35 racers from the club took to the field to test their rides and vehicles.

“Anyone who’s wider in the car than him is tall, that’s our real disqualifier,” says Shane Larson, a longtime member of the club. “So you get a car with a low center of gravity and you can go out and race for us. Just sign the waiver. You don’t need to have any experience.”

This event was for charity purposes. Larson shares that as a non-profit club, they donate to a different group every year. This year we donated $3,000 to Park Fire survivors. Anyone interested in registering for next year’s season can check out the site.
