The Body of a Woman Killed by Her Friend in Delhi was Found Hanging in the Bathroom

A 25-year-old woman was allegedly strangled to death by her live-in partner in Delhi’s Nand Nagri, police said. The body was found hanging in the bathroom by his brother Golu, who lived with them. He took him to GTB hospital where he was pronounced dead. According to police, they received a call about the murder at 11pm on Saturday.

Police stated that there were no visible external injuries on his body, but small ligature marks were seen on his throat, adding that the autopsy report would clarify the cause of death. The woman had been living with autorickshaw driver Anar Singh for the last four months after her husband’s death.

This incident comes a few days after a 28-year-old woman allegedly killed her live-in partner with a sharpening stone, hammer and knife in Delhi’s Bhalaswa Dairy area. After committing the crime, the woman went to a nearby police station and confessed to committing the crime. She told police that she was forced to take the extreme step because the man frequently attacked her.

The couple, who were both previously married to different people, were living together in a flat in Mukundpur Section 2 in 2022. The man had one child with his ex-wife, and the woman had four children. A police official said that the couple’s food, work, lifestyle etc. He said he often quarreled over issues.

Deputy commissioner of police (external) Nidhin Valsan said the man allegedly beat the woman’s children. “It was said that the deceased would hit the children of the woman who angered him. On Monday afternoon, Tawarak, who had been drinking, returned home and quarreled with the woman again.
