CHICAGO (Wales) — At least 16 people were shot, two fatally, in gun violence in Chicago this weekend, police said.

The news develops as follows.

Man shot to death in Wrightwood: police

Police said a man died after the incident on Sunday.

Police said the attack happened around 12:40 a.m. Sunday in the 2800 block of West 83rd Street.

According to Chicago police, the attack happened in the 2800 block of W. 83rd Street around 12:40 p.m.

Police said a witness found a 21-year-old man with multiple gunshot wounds to his body.

The victim was treated by Chicago firefighters; but the man died.

Man shot at Grand Parade killed: police

A man has died after being shot on the city’s South Side, according to Chicago police.

According to CPD, the attack happened around 11:31pm Saturday night.

Police said the attack happened around 11:31 p.m. Saturday in the 6700 block of S. Prairie Boulevard.

A witness told police he heard gunshots and went outside to find a man with three gunshot wounds to the head.

Chicago firefighters help transport the victim to the hospital, where he later died.

No other information about the victim was provided.

No one is in custody.
