phoenix – A crash in Phoenix injured eight people, including six pediatricians ages 7 to 15.

Two of the children in critical condition were hospitalized. The other six people, including two adults, were hospitalized in stable condition.

accident took place at the junction 39th Street and Thunderbird Road.

Phoenix Police closed the intersection for the investigation.

Alternative routes to avoid the intersection include 35th Street for north-south traffic and Greenway Road for east-west travelers.

The crash occurred approximately 2.5 miles west of Interstate 17.
