Police: Woman arrested on suspicion of drunk driving, hit and run in Petaluma

A woman accused of fleeing the scene of a crash in Petaluma was arrested Thursday, according to a Petaluma Police Department Nixle alert.

A woman accused of fleeing the scene of a crash in Petaluma was arrested Thursday, according to a Petaluma Police Department Nixle alert.

The crash was reported at C Street and South Petaluma Boulevard shortly before 9 p.m. Authorities said that when officers arrived at the scene, they found that one driver was slightly injured and learned that another driver had fled the scene.

The injured driver was taken to hospitals in the region and received treatment.

Police said officers conducted an investigation and found that the suspect, later identified as Taylor Arnold, was located at a residence and exhibited signs of being under the influence of alcohol and possibly a controlled substance.

Petaluma officers determined that he was the person driving the vehicle with other passengers when the crash occurred.

Arnold was arrested on suspicion of DUI and hit-and-run and taken to the Sonoma County jail.
