BC Lions and Saskatchewan Roughriders tied at halftime of West Semifinal

Vernon Adams Jr. threw an 11-yard touchdown pass to Justin Mcinnis late in the second quarter to make it 13-13 and the Saskatchewan Roughriders advance to the first half of the Canadian Football League West Semifinals on Saturday.

The Roughriders had taken their first lead of the game on AJ Ouellette’s run into the end zone with just over three minutes left in the second frame.

Brett Lauther’s second field goal of the game tied the Roughriders with the Lions at 6-6 early in the second quarter.

The Lions took a 6-0 lead four minutes into the opening quarter when Vernon Adams Jr. found Jevon Cottoy for a 56-yard catch-and-run score.

Saskatchewan responded with a field goal to close out the scoring in the first quarter.

The winner will face the Winnipeg Blue Bombers in the West Final.
