Baltimore’s Center Stage said it was canceling “Pride and Prejudice” performances Saturday after a water main failed, damaging its second floor and lobby.

In an email, spokeswoman Robyn Murphy said the theater said staff moved quickly to evacuate the building and secure valuables, but the extent of the damage was not yet clear. Murphy stated that the incident will not threaten the entire 2024/25 season and noted that the Head Theater on the fourth floor was not affected.

Theatre canceled a performance last week after one of his actors became ill.

The show is scheduled to run through Nov. 10, according to the theater’s website.
