Dangote Refinery denies selling PMS between N1, 015, N1, 028/litre

Dangote Refinery on Saturday labeled as fake the claim that it was selling oil between N1, 015 and N1, 028 per litre.

Some oil marketers were reported to have said that the price of oil produced at the Dangote Refinery on Friday was between N1,015 and N1,028 per litre.

They said it would be reasonable to import the product from the international market as the landing cost stood at N978.01/litre as of October 31, 2024.

Reacting to the development, Dangote Group rejected the claim in branch X, describing it as ‘fake news’.

DAILY POST reports that IPMAN, the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria, last week claimed that fuel prices at Dangote Refinery were higher than other places.

IPMAN Deputy National Secretary Yakubu Suleiman stated this while answering questions on Arise Television’s Morning Show on Friday.

Suleiman stated that IPMAN members will go where the price is lower and they make a profit, adding that they should have pity on Nigerians.
