A member of the public found the man in the water on Fulney Lane South, near Spalding

The body of a man was found in a drain in Spalding on Saturday morning, police said.

A member of the public discovered the man in the water off South Fulney Lane at 09:00 GMT.

Police and ambulance arrived at the scene, but the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Officers said the man was identified as 42-year-old Przemyslaw Gebka and his relatives were notified.

Mr Gebka was last seen in the Spalding area on October 28 and police would like to hear from anyone who may have seen him in the last few weeks.

Lincolnshire police said investigations were ongoing to establish the circumstances surrounding his death.
