With less than two weeks until his showdown with Jake Paul, Mike Tyson is not surprised that he is getting ready to step into the boxing ring at the age of 58.

In a clip of him behind mike In the program on YouTube, Tyson explained that his journey to the sport that made him famous was “written” long before he was born.

This is a different version of the Tyson who was boxing’s biggest star at its peak in the ’80s and ’90s. Iron Mike admits in the video that he no longer has to “call people bad names” and that he’s “really happy” with where he’s at right now.

As for how he felt as a boxer going into this fight, Tyson said he was “good enough” to beat Paul.

Tyson certainly looks to be in a good place physically ulcer problem causing the match to be postponed from its originally scheduled date of 20 July.

The upcoming bout with Paul will be Tyson’s first sanctioned fight since June 11, 2005. He is 50-6 and has two shutouts in 58 career plate appearances.

Paul has a 10-1 record in 11 fights since becoming a professional boxer in 2020. He last defeated bare-knuckle boxer Mike Perry on July 20 in a bout that was scheduled after Tyson’s illness forced him to postpone his bouts.

Tyson and Paul will face each other on November 15 at AT&T Stadium.
