Paul responded to Musk

Paul acknowledged Musk’s potential role as the government’s efficiency commissioner and responded: “I’d be happy to talk to you about that, Elon.”

Paul, who previously sought the presidency as a Republican and Libertarian, has expressed a willingness to advise Musk on economic policy and emphasized his commitment to educating the public about government excesses.

When asked if he would work with Musk to find solutions to government waste, Paul said: “Well, I would… Everyone would know what I believed in and there would be no secrets.”

Musk should tread carefully on reducing government spending

He later emphasized: “I always say that young people in high school and college are a receptive audience when I run the whole campaign.” He compared this to “the lack of support from business organizations like the Chamber of Commerce.”

Paul advised Musk to tread carefully if he is tasked with reducing government spending. “You know, it’s easy to have a position and maintain it. Paul emphasized that the public needs to understand the logic behind reducing public spending, especially as economic difficulties increase. He sees an opportunity to guide future policies “when this thing dissipates,” arguing that some political groups are capitalizing on social unrest. He said: “Cultural Marxists do this on purpose: the more chaos, the better.” So he remains a “reluctant optimist” encouraged by the response of “a lot of people out there, a lot of young people who seem very open to the things we’re talking about.”
