Palakkad: Three railway cleaners from Tamil Nadu died after being hit by a train in Palakkad’s Shoranur on Saturday.

According to Manorama News, a team of four contract workers – two men and two women – were cleaning the tracks at the bridge over the Bharatapuzha river when the Kerala Express approached. They couldn’t reach the other end in time, got stuck on the tracks, got hit by a train and fell into the river.

While the bodies of 3 people were found, the search for the fourth person continues. All the deceased (Lakshmanan, Valli and Lakshmanan) were natives of Salem.
