Suspect in brass knuckle attack at Gilbert In-N-Out sentenced to prison

PHOENIX (AZ Family) — One of the suspects convicted in the high-profile East Valley teen assault case was sentenced to prison Friday.

Tyler Allan Freeman, 18, faces nearly three years in prison for aggravated assault in connection with a December 2022 attack in which he and other teens jumped and beat another boy in the parking lot of a Gilbert In-N-Out restaurant. brass knuckles

Freeman is also accused of another attack in 2022 at a party at a home near Higley and Riggs in Gilbert.

Police said he also used brass knuckles there when he jumped over a young boy.

A group of teenagers jumped on the boy, who “was repeatedly punched and kicked by at least five suspects,” according to court documents.

Earlier this year, Freeman was charged for an assault that occurred at a party just before Thanksgiving.

Freeman has earned credit for the 268 days he has already spent behind bars.
