‘He was a terrible man’

Woman of the Day is truly one of the best scary thriller movies To exit Netflix. Directed by Pitch Perfect queen Anna Kendrick, the film captures the completely uncomfortable vibe that often comes with being a woman. But women weren’t the only ones who noticed serial killer Rodney Alcala’s chilling behavior: The Dating Game singles Jed Mills and Armand Cerami could sense something was off in his mood. In fact, two other show contestants understood this as well and offered an interesting perspective.

His thoughts came after Rodney Alcala’s true crimes were revealed. While working on the film’s script, Anna Kendrick approached Woman of the Hour producers Jed and Armand and added her own take on what it’s like to be seen with a serial killer.

In the actual episode, Rodney was bachelor number one instead of three. Promising actor Jed Mills as number one. When asked about her experience working alongside Rodney, she said “he was a bit of a scary guy” with “weird ideas.” (Quote Rolling Stone). As we saw in Woman of the Hour, Rodney made it clear to Jed during the filming of the episode that he always “got the girl.”

Unsurprisingly, bachelor number two had very similar views. Armand said that although she was quite attractive in The Woman of the Hour, Alcala’s reactions were not well received by audiences in the 1970s. Armand recalled that the audience “literally snickered” at his answers and even “booed, humming under their breaths”. Who would have thought that a serial killer would give off serial killer vibes?
