KUWAIT CITY, November 2: The General Traffic Department announced the launch of a comprehensive safety and traffic campaign on major highways early last Thursday morning. The operation involved coordinated efforts of various sectors of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, with the deployment of 45 traffic patrols, 57 emergency police patrols, 35 private security patrols and 45 public security patrols.

According to the ministry, the campaign resulted in the arrest and surrender of 50 people to the traffic police, including wanted persons and those who violated residence. Authorities also seized drugs and reported 1,344 traffic violations. In addition, 16 vehicles and motorcycles that were found to be in violation of the rules were seized.
