Candlelight vigil remembers victims of College Hill triple stabbing

CINCINNATI (WKRC) – A candlelight vigil was held Thursday night in memory of three people who were tragically stabbed to death in their College Hill home.

Patricia McCollum, affectionately known as “Miss Pat”, was murdered on October 24th. Two of his adopted children, 34-year-old DJ McCollum and 11-year-old Kaydence, also died in the attack.

Authorities charged McCollum’s son-in-law, 66-year-old Anthony Mathis, with the triple murder. Mathis later died in hospital from self-inflicted stab wounds.

Funeral services for the victims are scheduled for next Friday at Corinthian Baptist Church on Tennessee Avenue. The funeral will begin at 10 a.m. and services will begin immediately afterward.
