Hoka’s First Walking Shoe Suddenly Became a Master Class in Retro Style

Hoka may have built its brand on heavily padded running shoes, but the company has been involved in hiking shoes for the better part of a decade.

One of their first entries into the category and the first in history shoeReleased in 2015, it was a silhouette called Tor Summit WP.

At the time, the design was unique in blending the features of a traditional hiker (water resistance and Vibram MegaGrip outsole), with a low-cut upper and one of Hoka’s famous plush and lightweight midsoles.

Reimagined as a retro walker
