Kelly Stafford’s wife Los Angeles Rams Quarterback Matthew Stafford is apparently a big fan of Taylor Swift, despite comments she made about the pop star earlier this year.

On Thursday’s episode of his podcast “The Morning After,” Stafford addressed speculation that he had a problem with Swift. NFL star Travis Kelce.

The issue appeared to stem from comments he made on his podcast in May, expressing frustration with the attention the couple received last season.

“I don’t know if I want to see another four months of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce news,” she said at the time, via the New York Post .

But Kelly and her family recently attended The Eras Tour in New Orleans, prompting her to clear the air.

“I never said I didn’t like it Taylor Swift, without stopping. But I have to say, I’m tired of the Chiefs’ coverage of this issue, actually the NFL’s coverage of this budding relationship last year. So can he do anything about it? No, he can’t. You know, it was a good business decision for the NFL, but I felt like it almost overshadowed the games, and I think that’s what bothered me,” he said Thursday.

“I was a little jealous that they were getting so much attention and suddenly the football game was turning into a spectacle. So yeah, maybe I let the jealousy get the best of me.”

Kelly admitted to being a longtime fan of Swift, adding that she’s always admired how “positive” her music is. Reflecting on his previous remarks, Kelly said this was due to “jealousy issues”.

“I thought, ‘Why did it come out the way it did? Or why did I feel that way? And it really did. I had some jealousy issues, like he suddenly became the main show of NFL football or theirs. And I’m watching my husband work in his free time, and I’m watching all these guys playing in the league, having their hands full. I watch them do what they do and suddenly they’re like a sideshow, that’s where this genre came from.”

Looking back, Kelly praised the NFL’s focus on Swift and the impact it had on reaching a broader audience her daughters could relate to.
