MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) – The Memphis Police Department is investigating a shooting that left a child injured.

At approximately 4:19 p.m., officers responded to a shooting on Santa Monica Avenue near Prado Boulevard.

When the police arrived at the scene, they found that a child was injured.

The injured person, whose condition was not critical, was transported to a nearby hospital.
