Former Cleveland Browns Star Has a Big Problem with Jameis Winston

Cleveland Browns Heading into week 9, they are still on a high after a 29-24 win. Baltimore Ravens last week. For the first time in weeks, there was excitement and positivity in the team.

Jameis Winston was the person most ready for the positive energy surrounding the Browns.

After taking over for the injured Deshaun Watson last week, Winston completed 27 of 41 pass attempts for 334 yards, three touchdowns and no interceptions. This was a monster game, leading fans to speculate that he could be the team’s starting point guard even after this season.

Despite his big performance, a former Cleveland star revealed an issue he had with Winston.

Josh Cribbs didn’t hold back Throwing some water on the fire at Winston’s. The veteran quarterback saw some things in his debut against the Ravens that require extreme caution.

“Not to be pessimistic, there were so many opportunities that this game could definitely have gone wrong very quickly. The Ravens lost a few picks throughout this game.”

He’s 100 percent right. Winston was just a few passes away from the game and looked drastically different.

This doesn’t take anything away from his performance. If anything, it’s tempering fans’ expectations of what to think going forward. Winston can still deliver big performance after big performance.

But even in the midst of excitement, it’s important to be honest about some things.

Cribbs isn’t saying he thinks Winston’s performance was a fluke. He simply points out that the many different opportunities that Baltimore did not take advantage of could have led to the game turning into a much different story.

All that being said, it will be very interesting to see how Winston can play when he faces the Browns this week. Los Angeles Chargers.

Hopefully Winston can continue to clear the doubts and come up with a strong performance to lead Cleveland to a second straight win.
