1 house destroyed, another partially burned after massive fire in Black Canyon City

BLACK CANYON CITY, AZ (AZfamily) — A large fire broke out in the northern part of the valley early Friday morning, destroying one home and damaging another.

The fire broke out in a house around 06:00 in the morning. Abbott Street, west of Interstate 17 In Black Canyon City.

The Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office said one home was completely destroyed and a neighbor’s home was partially destroyed by the flames.

Daisy Mountain Fire and Paramedic crews are currently working to contain the flames.

Deputies are continuing to work to determine if anyone is injured.

Arizona’s Family drone witnessed smoke billowing from the charred wreckage as crews washed hot spots with water. The structure was completely destroyed and the trees surrounding it were also burned.

Citizens should stay away from this area Abbott Street and K-Mine Road.
