An 18-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder following a stabbing in Cornwall.

Police said they were called to Basset Road in Camborne at around 10.25pm ​​on Wednesday following reports of people being threatened with knives.

Devon and Cornwall Police said officers searched the area and discovered a man had been seriously assaulted at a property on the same road.

Police said a 31-year-old man was stabbed in the neck and was taken to hospital for treatment.

Police said his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening or life-threatening.

Police said it appears the two men knew each other.
