CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG) – A Hopkinton man is dead, 11 days after an early morning crash in rural Linn County.

The Linn County Sheriff’s Office said 48-year-old Chad Landas of Hopkinton was the only person in the car on Oct. 20 when it rolled into a farm field at the intersection of Monticello and Prairieburg roads. Crews had to pull him out of the car to take him to the hospital.

The Sheriff’s Office announced Thursday that Landas died 11 days after the crash.

The Sheriff’s Office said Landas was wearing a seat belt and the investigation into the crash is ongoing.
