Bicyclist suffers life-threatening injuries in crash in Sahuarita

TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) – A cyclist suffered life-threatening injuries in a crash in Sahuarita early Wednesday, October 30th.

The Sahuarita Police Department said the incident happened around 8 a.m. near Campbell Boulevard and Quail Crossing Boulevard. The area is just east of Old Nogales Highway.

SPD said the vehicle was traveling eastbound on Quail Cross when the crash occurred, while the bike was traveling northbound on Campbell.

Speed ​​and damage do not appear to be factors in the crash, according to SPD.

The cyclist was wearing a helmet and was taken to a Tucson hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The investigation into the accident is ongoing and no statement has been made.
