A fire burned near hillside homes in Sausalito on Wednesday, destroying vegetation.

Southern Marin Fire Protection District spokeswoman Elysha Costella said the fire was reported around 1 a.m. Firefighters said they found a burning area of ​​approximately 50 feet by 20 feet near a driveway at 144 Bulkley Ave..

Costella said the fire was caused by brush and leaves. Firefighters halted his advance within minutes. There were no injuries or structural damage in the fire.
