‘Agatha All Along’ costumes contain character clues

“Did you love Agatha from the beginning?” The final episodes air tonight on Disney+, and if you’re wondering what’s going to happen, you’re not alone!

On the Red Carpet, the show’s costume designer, Daniel Selon, told us that story secrets are hidden in the witches’ closets.

“There are a lot of Easter eggs. You have to look at the silhouettes. You have to look at how they are designed. There are a lot of things that tell you about each character, their character, who they are and their details. Where are they going and where are they?” Selon explained.

“It tells a story. And if you can take a look inside Agatha’s coat, there’s a whole world and a story there. It’s such a joy to come up with ideas and create these elements for each costume. They’re so common, they come up over and over again throughout the show.”

Selon said she had the most fun working on this show, especially working with Kathryn Hahn, who plays Agatha herself.

“Kathryn and I used to play a game called ‘which witch is this’ because she has so many different costumes in the show,” Selon said. “Every time she comes out of the trailer with her hair and makeup on, she’s wandering around base camp and asking, ‘Which witch is this?’ “We would take photos and try to understand!”

Selon, who won an Emmy for her costume work on “WandaVision,” said she was a little nervous about taking on “Agatha All Along” because she wanted to make sure she did right by fans.

I was really excited to take the character of Agatha and continue to develop her from what we did on WandaVision. I was also afraid of making mistakes or not giving enough depth, Selon admitted. “I definitely impressed myself and tormented my team and we did something really nice.”
