Harris gives ‘closing argument’ at Ellipse

WASHINGTON (NEXSTAR) – With Election Day less than a week away, Vice President Kamala Harris and former president Donald Trump are delivering this message to their supporters: This election is going to be tough. On Tuesday night, Harris chose to deliver a message from the Ellipse in Washington, D.C.

Both candidates have begun the final phase of their campaigns, but while former President Donald Trump remains in the battleground state, Vice President Kamala Harris delivers her “closing speech” in the nation’s capital.

“If you give me a chance to fight on your behalf, there is nothing in the world that will stand in my way,” Harris said.

Using the White House as a backdrop, he reminded Americans of what his rival had done in the same place years before.

“He is the person who stood on this spot nearly four years ago and sent an armed mob to the U.S. Capitol to overturn the will of the people in a free and fair election,” Harris said.

The former president took to the stage in Allentown, Pennsylvania, to warn voters about what he says Americans will get with President Harris.

“This election is a choice between whether we face four more years of gross incompetence and failure, the worst government in the history of our country,” Trump said.

Trump will travel to North Carolina on Wednesday and then head to Wisconsin. After visiting North Carolina, Harris heads to Pennsylvania and Wisconsin.
