Pender, accused of murder, killed one and injured two after being shot

A Pender County man has been charged with murder in connection with a shooting death early Tuesday.

Deputies responded to a 911 call in the 100 block of Maple Hill School Road at 12:29 a.m. Tuesday, according to a news release from the Pender County Sheriff’s Office. When they arrived, they found three people shot.

Two of the injured were transported to Novant Health New Hanover Regional Medical Center and one was transported to Novant Health Pender Medical Center. One of the injured died due to his injuries.
