PEORIA, Arizona (KPHO/Gray News) – An Arizona woman and her young son died after a rollover accident that occurred over the weekend.

A mother and son died Saturday night following a single-vehicle crash along State Route 74 at milepost 14 near Quintero Golf Club, according to the Arizona Department of Public Safety.

Authorities identified the woman driving the car as 45-year-old Elizabeth Paola Standefer and her 8-year-old son from the Phoenix area.

A DPS spokesperson said Paola’s Chevrolet Tahoe was traveling eastbound on SR 74 around 6:15 p.m., when the SUV left the roadway to the right for unknown reasons.
