Gold and Silver prices: With the onset of the festive season on Diwali, Dhanteras and Govatsa Dwadashi, gold and silver prices rise to new highs. The rate of 24 carat gold is approaching Rs 80,000 per 10 grams, driven by seasonal demand growth. Gold, a popular choice for festive gifts and investments, has witnessed fluctuating prices due to rising geopolitical tensions and increased market interest.

Gold prices increased by approximately 37 percent last year due to exchange rate volatility and global uncertainties. Since October 2022, the price of gold has increased by 64 percent, underlining its continued reputation as a safe-haven asset. As economic uncertainties continue, gold remains a sought-after investment for those looking to protect their wealth amid inflation and currency devaluation.

October 30 Gold and Silver Prices

As of October 30, the price of 24 carat gold in India is Rs 79,440 per 10 grams, while the price of 22 carat gold is Rs 72,728 per 10 grams. Moreover, silver prices also showed an upward trend and reached 98,980 rupees per kilogram.

Gold and Silver Rates by City

Mumbai: The price of gold rose to Rs 79,340 per 10 grams from Rs 78,610 the previous day. Silver rose to Rs 98,860 per kg from Rs 97,480 on October 29.

Kolkata: The price of gold was Rs 78,500 on October 29, while 10 grams became Rs 79,240. The price of silver was Rs 98,730 per kg.

Delhi: As Diwali shopping continues at full speed, gold rose to Rs 79,210 per 10 grams from Rs 78,470 on October 29. Silver is traded at Rs 98,690 per kg.

Chennai: 10 grams of gold is priced at Rs 79,580. Silver in the city rose to Rs 99,150 per kg from Rs 97,760 the previous day.

As the festive season intensifies, gold’s role as a hedge against economic instability becomes more evident.
