Beth Ann White’s lawyer will appeal conviction

JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) – A woman convicted of drunk driving and killing a mother and her six-month-old son is appealing her conviction to the Mississippi Supreme Court.

Lawyers representing Beth Ann White filed an appeal on her behalf.

Back in may This year, immediately after White was convicted, Kevin Camp said he planned to appeal the guilty verdicts.

First, he filed a motion requesting that a decision be made despite the decision in the case.

He asked that the court disregard the jury’s decision to find White guilty or grant him a new trial.

Camp claims prosecutors didn’t prove White got drunk during the fatal accident.

But this motion rejectedThat’s why Camp filed this latest appeal with the Mississippi Supreme Court.

White in May found guilty four counts of Aggravated DUI and one count of DUI Fourth Offense.

The jury found him guilty of drunk driving when he hit him and He killed 39-year-old Allison Conaway and her six-month-old son, Alex, and also seriously injured Conaway’s two daughters, Chloe and Chelsea.

Earlier this year, a judge sentenced White to: 110 years in prison.
