Live: Closing Above 24,500 Significant; Will Banks Continue to Win? L&T 2nd Quarter Today| Opening Bell

The Indian stock market extended its gains for another session, up half a percent, but on a closing basis it was still trading in the previous day’s range and below the 100-day EMA (Exponential Moving Average – 24,475). This rally was supported primarily by banks on October 29. Experts say upside movement will be difficult until Nifty 50 closes firmly above 24,500. Stocks to watch out for include Marico and Torrent Pharma. Meanwhile, L&T and Dabur announced their second quarter earnings today.
