Chick-fil-A aims to expand in Rochester, proposes new location in CityGate

Rochester, NY – A new Chick-fil-A restaurant may be coming to the Rochester area.

The fast food chain has submitted a proposal to build at the CityGate plaza, which currently houses Costco and an REI sporting goods store. Topgolf is also coming to the plaza.

The Chick-fil-A restaurant will be built on the land where the Monroe County Industrial Waste building currently stands.

It will have an area of ​​approximately 5,000 square feet and feature two-lane drive-through and removable distribution canopies.

If approved, the chain plans to hire more than 100 team members.

Chick-fil-A also recently proposed adding a new restaurant in Penfield.
