Hapbee Review 2024 – Forbes Reviewed

Wearable devices offering sleep analytics have become popular in tech, but Hapbee Neckband One of the most unique devices I have come across. It uses “ultra-soft magnetic fields” to help improve your mood, productivity levels, and sleep. All you have to do is wear it around your neck and choose the vibe you’re looking for from the accompanying app. To learn more about non-traditional wearable devices, I tested the Hapbee Neckband for about a month and tested Hapbee Technologies, Inc. I spoke with COO David Hoppenheim. In this Hapbee review, I will detail how it works, the science behind the neckband, and what it does. It happened when I tried it myself.

The brand describes the Hapbee Neckband as a device that plays “tiny magnetic songs that naturally stimulate bioreceptors in cells to recreate the same sensations as drinking a cup of coffee, taking CBD, or dosing with melatonin.” Essentially, the Hapbee Neckband works to “trick” your body into thinking you are taking a substance by using electromagnetic waves to stimulate your cells as that substance does. So in theory, you could wear the neckband, set it to “melatonin,” and have your body feel as if you were taking a supplement without touching any tinctures or pills. However, it is worth noting that Hapbee is not a medical device and should not be used to diagnose or treat any health problems.

Hapbee Neck Band Product Features

Before getting into Hapbee’s features, I would like to give some information. This wearable works with the Hapbee app, which provides “Mixes,” which are “magnetic songs” that send signals to your Hapbee, and therefore your body and brain. The Hapbee app has a list of different blends or modes to explore and their potential benefits.

Sleeping Blends

The focus of my review was sleep, so I primarily used their sleep blend when testing Hapbee. The application provides options for:

  • “Deep Sleep” for the highest quality sleep
  • “Bedtime” for Drowsiness
  • “Long Flight” for deep sleep and relaxation
  • “Fade Away” for drowsiness and calmness
  • “Wind Down” for drowsiness and deep sleep
  • “Power Nap” for drowsiness and relaxation

According to the brand, options like Deep Sleep are “saved” from melatonin, a hormone the body naturally produces to help you fall asleep and stay asleep as it responds to darkness. These recordings are electromagnetic frequencies that mimic the hormones and compounds that would naturally send signals to the brain. Other sleep blends, such as Bedtime, have been noted to be made from adenosine, a natural compound produced by the body to increase the desire for sleep.

Easy to Use

Naturally, I waited until bedtime to put the neckband on. It weighs almost nothing, so it felt really light and comfortable around my neck. Hapbee was also incredibly easy to use. To connect, just press the small button on the bottom of the device and open the Hapbee app. There’s also a tiny green light to indicate it’s on, as well as a tiny chime.

Some nights I just lay in bed and let him do his thing. Other nights I was reading a book, scrolling on my phone, or chatting with my husband. I made sure to test each activity a few times before going to bed to make sure the results weren’t affected by the activity itself. For example, whether I’m wearing Hapbee or not, lying in bed rather than scrolling through my phone can help me feel sleepier. Some nights I felt like it was working, other nights I wasn’t so sure. It is difficult to determine when other factors are at play in triggering sleepiness, but this can be a good tool to promote good sleep habits and therefore better sleep.

Additional Blends

Performance Blends

Performance blends were not the main focus of my testing. But I tried a few throughout the month. The Morning Coffee blend for alertness specifically appealed to me because I can’t get out of bed without fulfilling the promise I made to myself of a hot cup of coffee. Although I enjoy and need morning caffeine, it often makes my stomach hurt.

One of the suggested benefits of Hapbee is that it makes you feel like you’re getting a boost without the side effects of that supplement. Hoppenheim specifically talked about his experience getting rid of coffee and caffeine using Hapbee. She said she now has energy without her morning coffee and doesn’t experience the slump that usually comes in the afternoon.

I tried it a few times and didn’t feel like this aspect really worked for me. Waking up in the morning drinking coffee is a distinct feeling for me, and I didn’t get any of that from Hapbee. The app also offers other blends that I haven’t had a chance to test, including focus and creativity.

Mood Mixes

Changing your mood on demand – wouldn’t that be something? Even though I was doing a sleep test, I was struggling to get these blends to actually work. Mood swings can really change my day, so the thought of changing my mood with a wearable device is pretty incredible. I tried the Good Vibes blend that will make you feel calm and happy.

I felt very good after the first and second use, but I didn’t feel any difference afterwards. If I paid enough attention, instead of the necklace changing my mood, I felt like I was using positive thinking to feel happier while wearing the necklace. I also tried Time to Lounge, which seemed to do some good, but that could be attributed to the fact that I was physically laying down and meditating.

Happy Hour Mix

Speaking to Hoppenheim, he called out the Happy Hour mix recorded from alcohol to give you a buzz similar to a glass of wine or beer. He noted that there is a bar in Ireland that only sells soft drinks, and they have partnered with Hapbee to help customers feel intoxicated or “drunk” while wearing the neckband and using the Happy Hour Mix. Hoppenheim reported that the experiment was successful and people felt the difference.

There are other blends designed to promote calmness, relaxation, happiness, alertness, and even reduce muscle tension. After using the wearable in the modes I made, I think it may be up to the individual user whether these emotional and physical changes are the result of the placebo effect or whether it actually works.

My expertise

I am a sleep journalist and Forbes Verified contributor It addresses health, wellness and sleep issues. I tested everything up to “As Seen on TV” bamboo pillow to moon birdA handheld breathing coach for better sleep. I have also researched and written many stories about beds and sleep. The best mattresses for pressure points And how to choose a bed.

Final Thoughts

Hapbee’s results were quite difficult for me to analyze. Some nights I felt like this it could be Other nights when I was working I wasn’t so sure and thought it might be a placebo. There are so many factors that affect my sleep, including exercise, diet, weather, caffeine, menstrual cycle, and stress levels, that it felt impossible to get a real read on whether this wearable device was doing what the company claimed it was doing. Overall, I think much more rigorous testing needs to be done over a very long period of time while tracking different body measurements and data to truly know.

However, if the placebo effect is at work here, it has been shown to not only work but also benefit humans. When it comes to mental and physical health and wellness, especially in pain management, fatigue, and depression. So whether bioflows actually work may not matter if you believe they do and you feel better. I also tested Hapbee for a month, so maybe if I use it for a longer period of time I’ll see more differences.
